i'm still not over how sufjan really said 'this world is a bitch girls, don't end up in a ditch girl', like, ugh
for the past week i've been removing the coating on the gallery floor at the art asylum. a few years ago we had asked to get just like a sealant or clear finish over the concrete so that it would have that smooth texture and be easier to clean. the floor people rolled on this weird, gritty bronze/brown outdoor deck paint. which, was fine at first, but it quickly got dirty and, since it is an outdoor finish, it was meant to be cleaned with a water hose. which wasn't gonna happen inside the building. vacuuming worked okay but stains were harder to get off and the grit would come off all the time creating this artificial dust. i've spent a good amount of time clearing it off with a machine. there was a lot of dust. i'm sure i breathed some in, which frightened me a bit at first but who hasn't breathed in fine concrete (and possibly paint) dust before? it's not like i wasn't wearing a mask. anyways. the paint is gone. no more dust is being made. just sweeping it up. there's some spots i could've done a better job at but i'm also not really a laborer like that so whatever. it'll look good once it's done
last year i had to pay around eighty dollars when i filed my taxes. this year, i'm getting back just under three-hundred. trump's tax cuts do, in fact, work for people like me. thanks trump! just kidding
i bought a ticket for vampire weekend at the garden. i'm sure it cost me more than what a ticket for them at white oak would've cost me. i know for philly it was around fifty. can't imagine, knowing what i know about the layout of white oak, that the cheapest tickets would be anywhere above fifty
been off twitter for about three weeks. it'll be thee tomorrow. i did log in earlier this week to like a tweet. (or was that last week?) but i didn't browse so i don't count it. will be off instagram for two on friday. have thought about going back. want to make s story a la john mayer with his new kirkland sneakers. but i realized that i only want to do that for others to see and that there is no value of such video to my person. i'd enjoy it for a few hours and then never care about it again. so it's not a good reason to log in again
if anyone has a good digital camera they could lend me for a few months that'd be appreciated
tomorrow is junk trash day. i have an old cumbersome chair in my room that i want to put on the curb but will take a great deal of maneuvering to get it through the house
