everything surrounding venezuela is depressing and i don't even have the energy to really put into words what i have issues with and why. it seems imminent that a lot of venezualan people are going to die. whether it be through neoliberal policy's 'fuck the poor' stance or civil war/revolution. it's crazy that i feel hopeless for people who i've never met. for a country i've never even thought about visiting. i guess that just comes with more and more research into how latin america has been abused and kicked down by the u.s. in a way i guess i understand why isis held a deep anti-american stance. this empire is disgusting. and every politician is a cog in it. doesn't matter if they're dem or not. progressive or not. in the end, being a part of the government works to uphold the same system that oppresses people, not just within its borders, but within every stretch of the globe. and i know this is a cynical take, but being online again really just opens the floodgates to all the information one doesn't see and that onslaught of fabrications and pain can prove overbearing. i'm not saying we should give up, just that we have to demand more. rubio posting blatant death threats via pictures of gaddafi pre and post being sodomized by a knife and executed should inspire people to do more. but we're all just complacent now. jaded. nothing means anything. it's all a joke. a troll. isis lies to its supporters. so does the us. they both massacre people. what is the difference? just posturing really
