i was gonna talk about nose bleeds as i had mentioned in yesterday's blog post, but this power outage is more pressing
a random winter storm, that wasn't forecasted even two days ago hit today. it started in the morning, with light rains. then some clumped snowfall. the initial flurries weren't cause for alarm, since the snow wasn't sticking. when walking to get lunch, i commented to kim that the snow wasn't sticking and that if it wasn't going to, then thre was no point in it snowing. the night before my father asked me if it was gonna snow, and i told him, "i don't think so. it's been warm as of late, i think that part of the season is over with." yet here i am. those flurries turned into what some people said was a blizzard. the snow started piling up as i was eating a poor lunch. hung out in lower with some friends then went home. was listening to sufjan's 'age of adz' when the power cut off. other people had lost power, and i got confident i wasn't going to
no one is sure when the power will be back. it's gone in the entire borough. the people at the pizza place said it would be back at five in the afternoon tomorrow. i hope that's not true. i hope this peco company gets it together soon. it complicated things for me. i just want to be in my room, doing my work. instead i'm in what looks like a refugee camp cause the houses on main street had to be evacuated
i'm gonna sneak back into my house. the houses that use card swipes to get in are locked. mine uses a key, so i have that going for me
plans for new york have gotten more complicated, but i'm sure i can make it work. a few friends of mine got stranded in Philadelphia. in general, everything shut down. amtrak. septa. megabus. flights. sucks for everyone who was heading home today
the world is against everyone today. it's not good
