windows gave me a message saying that firefox is less battery efficient than edge and that by discontinuing the use of firefox for their browser, i could improve my battery life by "up to 75%", which to me, sounds a bit incredulous, even untenable
went to the camh (contemporary arts museum of houston) and the mfah (museum of fine arts houston) today after work. the camh had these written pieces that were slightly interesting, but i wasn't really in the mood to read them. there was this large installation that had the walls and floor covered in newspaper. not really though provoking, but it was cool to look at. the lower floor had basically nothing. the mfah had this cool exhibit about homes and latin struggles. there was this cool video that had a woman working on a kitchen table. alejandro started talking about how she was making tamales with banana leaves and then began to slander corn husk tamales. turns out the woman was making nunchucks(?) out of banana leaves and bananas. it was an anti-us imperialism message, making weapons with easily accessible food in latin america
we took the rail to tacos a-go-go. on the way there, the fare inspectors were on our train and handed out tickets to two people. i was annoyed i had to witness it. i got some tacos, rice and beans. alejandro got a taco and a brownie. i like the restaurant because it feels like what restaurants in mexico feel like. the same pepsi or carta blanca branded tables. the wall décor. orange paint. etc. food was good. we watched the jaboukie tonight show set video. i like that joke about the bank labeling him spending more than 40$ on groceries as "suspicious activity"
thinking, what if instead of toronto, i go to mexico city? that seems even more unlikely. been putting off looking at my bank account. don't want to think about finances. it's stressful. dont't know why i'm thinking about this right now. its months away. there are other things to worry about
overall been feeling better. not quite as fragile as last week
