'ladybird' (2017) was good. there were many comical scenes that channeled that high school student angst in a way that did not seem demeaning to those feelings. i think that's one of my favorite aspects of it. it lent credibility to those kinds of adolescent feelings instead of making light of them. was also good that it focused on a woman's perspective, albeit a white one. the acting and writing was good. i don't know what else to say other than i recommend

'love my way' by the psychedelic furs has become one of my current favorite songs. the "behind the lyrics" cards on spotify says it's about gay or queer love, which would make sense. i played it at the dps party last night and tried to channel armie hammer's moves when dancing to it

got stoned last night and was having a difficult time understanding why the company skinny pop makes microwavable popcorn that comes in a box. there were many issues, such as there being too many kernel at the end. the box had a weird way of constructing itself. it got too hot; i think skye said she burned herself, even if only slightly. the popcorn was a bit tough, like, it had almost a stale consistency. it was our first time encountering this product and we agreed that it was entirely unnecessary, that a bag would've been better

went to the new exhibit reception at the berman museum. it was fine. the artwork wasn't especially memorable, but it was nice to look at. wasn't fond of all the loud people there, so i left in less than 20 minutes
