i woke up today questioning where the animosity towards the oxford comma comes from. i've used it since i first learned to read/write english in the first grade. i thought everyone used it, but it seems i'm actually in the minority here. i don't get how it can hurt a sentence, and i understand why some would prefer not to use it. what i can't seem to "wrap my brain around" is why there is hate towards it. it doesn't do anything bad. sure, it can make a list unsightly (i disagree) but it causes no harm
many people have made remarks about me not having fitted sheets on my bed, so i went and got some. if i don't notice an uptick in sleep quality, it will further cement my opinion that they aren't necessary
i haven't really done any reading this month
saw a picture of my old school's men's volleyball team. i forgot i played on that team my senior year
a group of five deer crossed a noticeably busy road. later, i saw one dead deer on the side of another road. i don't see deer often back home. saw a couple when i was driving back from dropping off a friend up near allentown
maybe the eagles will win the superbowl. i don't know much about football, have never particularly cared for it, but i would recognize philly winning as a good omen. i was robbed of an astros parade, but maybe i will get an eagles one. a minor compensation, since i don't care for them, but it would be nice to be in a championship parade
