i like how a population of penguins is referred to as a colony. makes them seem like little pioneers or explorers. a noble distinction for flightless birds

missed my bus to downtown today because some lady that likes to arrive in the last half hour of work also decided to go past 10 minutes past 6pm. i was annoyed with her for a while, but it went away. it was below freezing and that was my main issue with it. i left all my coats except for one jacket in my dorm because i figured being in houston meant a low of 50. that was the case last week when i was in a tshirt and short in 75 degree weather but there has been a polar vortex of sorts stalling over the u.s. it's worse for the northeast through new england, but that doesn't mean it's that much better for me. i went to the library and got three books. i want to have them returned by next week. that would keep me on pace
