there's this one paragraph in joan didion's first novel, on the piece about john wayne, that made me take a pause to reflect on it emotionally. didion has this way of weaving words, creating lengthy sentences, that flow seamlessly until the final punctuation mark. she has quickly cemented herself as one of my favorite writers. i watched the netflix documentary about her. the production of it served to embellish the credibility of the documentary, since the actual content and information that it attempted to bring forward lacked significance. i don't think the director knew all that much about didion, which is discouraging

i've reached a point where i'm fully exhausted with everything and cant wait to go home, see some music, and disappear momentarily
