i've come around on an opinion of mine. well, it's not full circle, but i feel like what i wrote didn't make my intentions entirely clear. i wrote an opinion on the current situation in venezuela. in essence, i spoke of the importance of america staying out of it and leaving any future political decisions to venezuelans living there. i stated that maduro should be criticized, but that it's not america's issue so it should keep from intervening. while i still believe maduro should be criticized, i'm at the point were if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. and that's not because i want to turn a blind eye to the crisis there under his regime, but because any well-intentioned criticism, especially that from the left, will be used as justification by u.s. imperialists. furthermore, what good does criticism make if you're not in a position with an actual platform? if it's not your country then why does the world need your 'two cents'? it's more posturing than anything else. i didn't make that distinction in the piece i wrote, but i've made it here, which will suffice for me. i'll think more about this
is terrorism against the u.s. art?
