the fine arts museum exhibits aren't very good this time around. the main attraction is this large interactive piece made of bamboo. it's this platform that you can walk on and would make it feel like you're walking through a bamboo forest. i wasn't really into it. i don't want to pay thirteen dollars to walk on some sticks. the video series exhibit was also boring. there was this one piece where these two videos were next to each other, both displaying a view from an airplane window. supposedly from the same plane. that was the most interesting one except it was just a glorified instagram video. well, there was this other piece where traffic was displayed on this strange shape, and the surface altered the way the video looked. that was probably the best one. didn't bother with the contemporary arts museum, since i'd been there a couple weeks back

i did want to go to lawndale but it closed at six. adrienne said it was a cool place and i haven't been yet
