so we did go get pho but alejandro didn't want to drive to bellaire and refused to carpool, so we went to some place in midtown. the pho was good. diego recommended i get the shrimp one. he said it wasn't on the menu when i couldn't find it. an exclusive thing, he joked. i drank a few beers before going so i had to pee a couple times. i was also talking a fair amount. more so than i naturally would have
we went to my friend's house afterwards and really got drunk there. he had some tequila, which i usually avoid, but kaijah wanted to take shots and i figured, why not? it's been months since i was last drunk and i may not see all these people again before leaving. i don't remember much aside from general topics of discussion. i know i followed a few people cause i saw content on my tl that i doubt i would have subscribed to sober. i also don't remember getting in bed. i thought i had left my bag in diego's car but it was in alejandro's. i posted something to my story that i completely forgot i recorded.
i'd like social media more if everything i posted deleted minutes after posting. more fast paced. less archival. which is weird since i'm really bad about archiving everything. lots of sentiment, but i've worked on cutting back on that
saw mashiyah, which was cool. we really didn't talk about much, but he did express a similar sentiment to the one that i have about artists just drawing random pictures in a performative way, for like, social status. clout, i guess. i said he should host a reading, and he seemed open to the idea. maybe i should've have said that earlier in the summer
i made my sufjan mixtape art. its just a page with different dyed colors. 'sufjan mix' written on it in stickers. i'm proud of it, but i think i'm gonna retire from recording tapes. i'm over it. glad to have made something though. might post the tracklist on here in a later post. i made a spotify playlist for it, which i don't think anyone will follow, but i want to say that that's fine because ultimately, it was made for myself
okay so why did i never make the connection that the phrase 'getting "black-balled"' originated from pool?
