it's my last full week and i was still a little late to work. all i have to do is clear up the teacher section of the store in preparation for the teacher event this weekend. i feel it's gonna be on the wilder side, since a lot more people have heard of the store and its just as the school years at each district are starting up, if they haven't already. a couple teachers came in last week asking to see the room. it was their first time there. the guy had a supreme fanny pack strapped as a side bag. i don't think the room was what they were expecting, then again, i don't think it's what anyone expects their first time. the place was a mess, too. at least it's cold in there

i stopped by the library on my way home. i wanted to check out three books: 'between the world and me', 'rose', and 'taipei'. they had 'taipei', but not rose. they did have other books by li-young lee, so i got 'book of my nights'. they didn't have the coates one, so i got 'universal harvester', a book i failed to finish in time last year. when i went to check them out, the machine told me i had accumulated too high a debt in library fees, so i paid the minimum amount. i got the three books and rode home. got stuck behind a train
