i wasn't sure who i was gonna give my extra ticket to. i thought about selling it outside of the toyota center, but i didn't want to do that. not really. i mentioned the show to my coworker and her eyes lit up. she told me she was a huge fan of the smashing pumpkins and that her friends had tried to get her tickets. i told her she could have my extra one if she wanted, and after spending some time thinking it over, she said yes
the show was fine. it was both of our first time at a concert in a large venue like that. i thought the seats were gonna be closer, but i can't complain since they were free. they were still better than a lot of the other seats people actually paid for. i spent the day listening to their album 'melancholy' and was able to recognize some songs here and there. they covered a few songs, but i really enjoyed when they played '1979'. i did come to the conclusion that i wouldn't really go to a concert at an arena again cause it's just not wort it. the views aren't great and its kinda like going out just to watch something on a large t.v.
i did get to see metric play black sheep
