i brought some avocado and bread with me for lunch. i remember not really liking avocado as a kid. i thought it was kind of slimy. the texture was odd and the taste was like, far-away? it has a taste but it feels distant. like when you have a memory and you try to remember the whole thing, and you've got all the events but you're missing that one detail to fully put it together. that's how they taste. i still think that. but even that detached taste is good for other things like sandwiches, and in this case, toast. my coworker saw me and we both laughed at how white people over-pay for this when it's always been more of a poor people thing, at least down here closer to the border
people have been dropping off artwork for this weekend's show but there doesn't seem to be much. there's still time for more to arrive, and i know mike told me there were like forty pieces. there's only ten or so here right now. i'm not optimistic about this one
i finally saw brandon wardell do stand up, which was fun. i felt like i had more to say about that. he was flexing his shoes in a subtle manner. he said he forgot to pack shoes so he went to the mall for some. i think that's a low key flex. he had this good story about subway jared. he also made the nice hecklers look dumb. when i got there, i didn't think the place was gonna get packed. it was like twenty minutes til and me and alejandro found a good spot up front. the show was delayed and that gave people time to get there. next thing i knew, all the chairs were full and people had to stand in the back. wild
