xxxtentacion was shot yesterday and he died. that prompted a lot of arguments online. it's generally understood that he was an abuser and that he deserved to be in jail. his fans though will defend him by saying the claims are unsubstantiated or even just that it was a while ago and that he's been working on being a better person. i don't have a dog in this fight. i never cared for his music and don't really feel any negative or positive way. i don't care that he died. he was shitty. but a lot of people will defend him as if he's somehow gonna come back and thank them or something. like why do these people have so much energy for that? lot's of people praised him. j cole did, which, come on. the annoying part was that people kept making jokes about chief keef killing tekashi a couple weeks ago. they thought the idea of him getting shot and killed was funny, but now that x is dead, murder isn't something to joke about and no one deserves to die and all this other bullshit. look, if you were cheering on this tekashi-chief keep shit, you better not have any moral statements to make now that someone actually died
