so i decided that going to new york was, ultimately, worth it. i planned on catching an early bus, but slept through it. instead i caught the bus in philly at noon. when i got off, i wasn't sure what to do, so i decided i'd go see kacper's pop up show on canal st. the train ride was quick and i kinda stared at this ad for domestic abuse in spanish. i think this was my first time on canal st. like, it looks like a lot of other places in new york, except, of course, it's chinatown and there arr a lot of street vendors selling counterfeit designer items. i've been wanting to buy adidas superstar knock offs that have four green stripes instead of three, but i wasn;t sure where i would start to look for them and was not really trying to be carrying around a shoe box, so i didn't bother. i met up with diamond at the show and basically stayed there until it closed, which was a bit after seven p.m. the painting he made of playboi carti was there, which i appreciated. he says that it was supposed to be the cover of playboi carti's s/t mixtape, and i don't think he has any reason to lie about that, or that he even would. i like the painting a lot, but i'm broke and can't afford it or a print. was fun to hang around there. the shows were the only reason i came up on such short notice. diamond said kacper sometimes says 'bame' or 'boming' instead of 'came' . and 'coming' which i thought was funny and might try to use more. i had this horchata bubble tea that was pretty good. it tasted just like the name: horchata and tapioca bubbles. the place was called 'boba guys' but yet people still call it bubble tea? i mean, it's clearly called boba tea but northeasterners never really learn
looks like michigan made it to the ncaa final. i want it to be michigan-kansas but kanasa lost to villanova by a large margin. i don't want villanova to win becasue i don't need philly people being any more proud this year. especially since college sports isn't something an entire city should adopt. anyway i have had michigan's back all tournament. i wish them good luck
i'm pretty exhausted, even though i didn't do as much as i think i did. i dozed off on the r and ended up in brooklyn. i considered going back to coney island, but the q wasn;t running. in fact, most of the yellow ones weren't running to downtown/brooklyn. not sure what my plans are for tomorrow. might try and meet up for lunch with someone. i'll have to check in the morning. i should be back home by eight tomorrow night though, so that's good
i bought some adidas that aren't sambas and i should have them by monday. will be interesting to wear something different for a while, but i also don't want to mess these up too quickly
the new macbook keybaord is not good. it's very flat. sure, it has an audible click, but there is so little travel it just sucks to type on this, in my opinion. my fingers feel lost
was listening to playboi carti's mixtape and i got a little nostalgic. reminded me of the summer. especially august
found out that people in the northeast, don't know what cascarones are. well, i'm not surprised white people don't know, but kim, who is mexican, didn't know what the dyed eggsehll i had on my desk was. made me more grateful to be from the southwest, to be honest. more 'culture' i feel. maybe. i think. i'm tired now, wish i could go on writing more. i like it better when the blog posts are longer, even though i'm sure most people won't read it through the end, if they read any part at all. it just looks nicer for me. makes me feel more accomplished. i'm coming up on one hundred fifty blog posts. crazy. today is the future
