i'm debating on whether it would be worth the effort to take the megabus to new york and back on saturday. diamond's artist boyfriend is having a couple shows, one ends and the other opens on saturday. i do like his work, and it would be cool to go to new york again, but i don't know if its worth the effort getting there, then getting around, and then getting back home. just seems like a lot. i've done it before, yeah, but those were different circumstances. i also told a friend i'd see him in baltimore, and i should probably prioritize that instead of going to new york again. i don't know. it's not that expensive a trip. about 60$ for food and transport. i also just bought some shoes the other day so my money situation not looking too good, though it never really is. probably won't happen anyways. it's a nice thought though
was planning to live with a friend next semester, but i don't know if that will pan out. we had agreed on a rooming situation, but then some stuff came up on my end that kind of forced me to change last minute. he says its fine, but we haven't talked about it in person yet. hope it works out for the both of us
excuse me for not caring about all the latinx students that get into prestigious schools that go viral on twitter. i don't think they are the best rebuttal we have towards that hateful rhetoric that latinx people are a burden to society. saying they are and retweeting those messages implicitly says that latinx people have to go above and beyond just to prove their humanity to white people. that's ridiculous. the true rebuttal is literally all immigrants that are living their lives in the states. it's great for them that they reached their goals, but don't make it seem that all latinx people have to do that in order to refute the harmful statements people make
