i went to the powerhouse antique store that's closing at the end of the month. it's only open on sundays, from 9-5, which didn't seem like the best operating schedule until i realized it was more of a flea market than an antique store. i went in hping to find something cool, preferably garfield-related. i found a nice texas pennant, a cactus flower vase, and an old revolver. nothing i wanted though. it's a cool place. the walls are made of classic red bricks that show their age. the roof is all wood. can't imagine it would hold up well during a fire. lots of different vendors selling their junk. some was actually trash. there was a ziploc bag of old sugar packets or something like that. it reminded me of the art asylum a bit. i feel like i may have missed something cool by not going last week. they were in the process of packing up, so some stuff was no longer on display. i don't think it matters though. probably wouldn't have bought anything anyway

ate too much and now my stomach feels like it's overflowing

called my father. we talked about.. um.. taxes. yeah, i have to file two years worth of taxes, which, according to my sister shouldn't be very difficult or time consuming. maybe an hour? she said half an hour to file for this year. so, logically, it would be twice that for two years. so an hour. probably. i got my books library books returned before being charged for replacements. i need to stop bringing them with me. it never ends well. i was spared last time because of the hurricane (thanks, harvey!) but that isn't the case this time. i have enough to read. i have enough to do
