a lot of bad omens today on the way into philly. first the bus was late. then, at the norristown transportation center, the regional rail was delayed a couple times before ultimately declared cancelled. just before the announcer said the train wasn't coming, there was this strange, scraping-like sound. I though it was, like, a bulldozer or snow plow, but it was actually an electrical fire on the tracks of the high speed line

on the bus to norristown, my friend got some troubling news, a family emergency. i wasn't sure how to comfort them, so i felt a little weird being there. i have yet to deal with a similar issue

i felt nauseous on the shuttle bus. the guy sitting next to me had sharp elbows that forced me to sit in an uncomfortable position, with my body twisting to look out the window. it was rather sunny, and the bus was warm and crowded. i felt weird. i wanted to nap. i wanted to throw up. i was uncomfortable

i also didn't bring a coat and it was colder than i thought, so i was cold the entire day

ultimately did get to the globetrotters game. i'd never been to one before, but i had a general understanding of what to expect. i liked the mascot 'globey'. i thought he was fairly amusing. the villain of the other team had this mask on, made him look a bit like batman. i'd seen those masks before on a soccer player i think. at one point, a couple players ran right by where i was sitting, which was the 8th row in the bottom section. it's definitely a family event, so i found the place selling beer and mixed drinks a bit amusing

i'm not going to new york monday. that'll be tuesday. most likely
