was watching seinfeld last night. in a way, i can relate to the 'soup nazi'. as kramer described him, he is just a bit eccentric. he demands perfection from himself, his soup, and his customers. in that sense, i think it's perfectly understandable that he denies people soup. he's an artist of sorts. i feel that way about writing. i want the best from myself and my writing, and as such, i want the best from the people who read it. i guess that's why when my work is getting critiques in class, i will space out if i feel the suggestions they're giving me are lacking. like, if i feel they don't know what they're talking about, i'll mentally dismiss them. i don't think it's that big of a problem, since i think my writing has improved without me listening to these kinds of people, but it is plausible that i could improve at a marginally faster pace if i did pay them attention. regardless, the 'soup nazi' is a fine character and i felt bad for him when elaine destroyed his craft
