i've been in a total of two public transit accidents. both occurred while taking the bus. the first was back home in houston and the second was here in philadelphia. both happened in the morning. in houston, i was headed hom eafter spending the night at my friend's place. kaijah walked me to the downtown stop and i caught the bus there. 5 minutes in to the ride, still in downtown, a small blue car runs a red and either slightly hits, or swerves heavily and ends up on the sidewalk. police arrive and we are asked if we fine or whatever. delays me a good hour. wasn't terribly upset because i was only going home and had nothing to do. in philly, i was headed to center city. i was on my way to check out a couple stores, get breakfast/lunch and then head to the zine fest. about 15 mins from campus the bus is rocked due to a small green car rear ending us. again, police arrive. i handed them my id while i wait for the uber. thanks to this i missed the train and had to spend more money to get into the city. the guy who hit us was sitting on the curb, blood leaking from a cut in hir forehead. he was wearing a cammo shirt. i laughed a bit, thinking about making a joke about how i couldn't see him. didn't feel bad, but knew i should have.

wismer (the dining center) had their thanksgiving dinner today. i was told that they would have apple cider today. last year, they had a bunch of apple products in the fall. they would set up a small table with both hot and cold cider and a couple baskets of locally grown apples. this year i'd been waiting for that. was hoping that it would appear when the calendar turned to november, but no. then today was my last hope, since i had been explicitly told they would have it for this dinner. well there wasn't any. this semester has been a series of consecutive let downs so far.

okay but what would make this school think that scheduling any finals on a saturday was an acceptable thing? i will not be here. i have a music festival to get to. i refuse to stay here for an exam period on a saturday; an exam period for a class that has no exam. catch me in texas wearing my sheriff hat
