so i got up around noon today. i had woken up intermittently before then, but hadn't really wanted to get up and do anything. my classes don't start until one-thirty, so i didn't have to be anywhere

i was pleasantly surprised to find my philosophy of race was predominately non-white people. mostly black, with a few latinxs and asians. which, i don't particularly like that term (asian), because it's too broad considering the size and cultures within the continent of asia. there were nineteen people, only eight were white. i look forward to it. thought what we discussed, which wasn't much, substantially speaking, was interesting

my sports journalism class is gonna suck a bit, not because of the topic, but because it's all white people who love football, lacrosse, baseball, etc. one of the girls in that class is the same one that wore a sombrero in the dining hall on cinco de mayo last year. it's going to be tiresome to have to listen to her talk about like, whatever, field hockey or some dumb sport that doesn't exist outside of pa. the fact that my school is d-three makes it funnier

gonna regret signing up for the midnight-to-two shift at the library but i'll get into the rhythm of things soon enough
