i went to the new vinyl location on my way home from work. it used to be in white oak, but it moved earlier this year to about six minutes away from me on bike. i rode by it the other day, which is how i found out it relocated. anyway, i went in and talked with who i presume to be the owner, or at least a long standing employee. they only seemed to have older records out, focusing on rap, r/b, jazz, etc. not really any new stuff
i talked with the guy about why they moved, among other things. i asked if they could fix speakers and he said ti very easy and that i could probably do it myself. he asked me if i was interested in learning how to scratch. i told him that i had been introduced to it by a professor, but that i would for sure stop by again to give it a try. he mentioned how on tuesdays they have an open mic. gonna try to go to that. i asked about a shirt, and he gave it to me for free, which was very kind
forgot to give alejandro something, but he says he'll be back in town soon enough
the art show looks like its going to be disappointing. there's barely enough artwork to cover two walls
i wanted to post something on instagram and then suddenly i no longer felt compelled to
