woke up this morning thinking about how i don't like the police

writing these posts is getting exhausting

glad abolishing ice has become a no brainer in terms of policies to run on for progressive candidates. also glad that white people are more engaged about what ice does, but it's still annoying that it took families being separated for them to care. and i know they'll just argue that, ohh i was only *this* old when obama was doing it. sorry for not being as informed or whatever and like, that just shows how privileged you've been to now have to care about something for a majority of your life. sure i wasn't for abolishing ice as a twelve-year old, but i knew that ice (la migra) was a shitty organization that would separate families by deporting parents and relatives. my mother is about to have lived here for twenty years (at least) and still isn't a citizen. luckily she's a resident, but she knows that doesn't mean she's safe under this administration
