spent today in bed again. i feel better now, and hopefully that carries on to tomorrow morning. i made it to my eight am but skipped two later classes. i don't have any work to do that is due tomorrow, but i do have a lot of things to start. i'll be fine though

my copy of 'god box' by mallory whitten came in today. excited to read it once i can actually focus on things. i'm still really behind on books i'm supposed to have read to keep up with my goal. not worried though. i'm sure i'll catch up

nicolas jaar released and album under the alias 'a.a.l (against all logic)' which is really good so far. colin recommended it to me earlier and then showed me the opening track at dinner. been listening to it for a while now. it is very accessible for nicolas jaar. colin said that his other music is self-indulgent (not in a bad way) but that it often spent a lot of time in its atmospheric sounds, while this one is more house-influenced with strong grooves. i liked the drums in 'i never dream'. they have this irregularity to them. like, at times, it seems like it misses a beat, but it's on purpose. i like that

while eating, this girl sat in the table adjacent to mine. she had this tattoo of the seattle skyline on her left shoulder. when i first glanced at it, i thought it was a frasier tattoo. it reminded me of the seattle skyline at the bottom of the frasier poster, but this was more crude and didn't feature the same building outlines. therefore it's not from frasier, and i quickly lost interest in it

sufjan is performing at the oscars

watched 'coco' (2017) with kim the other night. i cried again
