had to reflect on the brockhampton show once it ended. it was a small venue, and they took a while to perform. also, they removed the "brockhampton: sold out" marquee letters during the show, so i wasn't able to snap a pic of it afterwards (smdh!). they are definitely worth seeing. each member has character and that's easily noticeable in their live performances. i'm a little more mixed on the crowd. felt like everyone there was still in highschool, which isn't inherently a problem (they are a boyband, so it makes sense), but it does translate to people only focusing on getting to the front. so when they started playing, a huge push forward started. and the "pit" wasn't so much a pit that you'd find at another show, like a hardcore show or even death grips (which is still the most insane one i've been in). it was basically everyone pushing and shoving to move forward and get as close to the front as possible. this was my biggest issue with it, like it could have been way more fun, there were a lot of people and a lot of energy but it was wasted in the vain attempt to move up. like, go crazy where you are, no need to move up more. i thought about how kaijah is in pits and like, that's what I wish there was more of at this show. i tried to channel his energy (ha!). i ended up drenched in sweat, a lot of it mine, but not all of it. we were in the front center, so probably one of the hottest parts. kim had to get some air towards the end, so it wasn't a big issue. i found someone's iphone early on. thought about keeping it, but decided it would be best to return it. gave it to the venue's security. heard way too many people say the n-word, especially considering most of the crowd was white. the 'boogie' opener was good. i loved when they played 'sweet', which is still my favorite song of theirs. i sang that one the whole way through, was loud during merlyn's part. i love houston.. yeah, i should've seen them when i was home. oh well
spent most of today sleeping, resting, etc
the song, 'crystal dolphin' by Englewood, is dummy good. i recommend
